Ignatius Men Forever
The varsity team was pleasantly surprised to get a visit from two alumni, Dan Sell (left) and Neil Ferreri '95. While warming up in the field house the team noticed two guys wearing Ignatius gear, but didn't recognize them. After all we were in Columbus, so we thought, wow we have fans. To our surprise we learned these two alumni are credited with starting volleyball at St. Ignatius in the early ‘90s.
Dan is currently working in the banking industry in Columbus, and was pleased to see the program he helped start make it to the elite eight. His thoughts on our match, "I had a great time and could not be prouder of how far Ignatius volleyball has come.."
Neil Ferreri is a teacher in the Hilliard School system, and said "I was proud to wear my St. Ignatius colors despite the backlash". He is still involved in volleyball as a player and coach. It meant a lot when he said, "never would've guessed that the program had come as far as it has".
Dan and Neil thank you for planting the seed!!!!
Spread the word... Ignatius volleyball is on the move!!
